Delivery of the Roofing Materials & Trailer : We will have the roofing materials delivered to your home usually the day before or morning of the job. A trailer will normally be positioned in close proximity to your home in order to dispose of the existing roof. If you need access to your vehicle and/or garage, you may want to park on the street the night before to avoid the risk of being “blocked” in.

Arrival of the Installation Crew : The installation crew typically arrives between 7AM to 9 AM. At this time, there will be vehicles parked on the street and in the driveway to unload the necessary equipment.
Delays: Inclement weather could result in a delayed start or completion of work. We will take all precautions to adequately protect your home from these elements.

Cracks in Driveway: Driveways that have existing cracks or raised areas are much more likely to crack further. If you have any concerns with this issue, you should discuss them with your representative before the start of the job.

Pets : If you have pets, please be sure to leave them in a secure place while your roof is being installed. You also will want to keep any pets away because it is common to have debris and nails to on the job site during the demolition process.
Antennas & Satellite Dishes: We will need to remove antennas and satellites dishes during the roofing installation. If conditions allow, we can try to reinstall dishes and do our best to reposition them. It is a good idea to contact your service provider to handle any satellite installation or recalibration.

Trees, Shrubs, & Plants : If you have any low hanging branches over your roof, some trimming may be necessary. Our installers will use tarps to protect any flowerbeds, shrubs, bushes, etc. and make every effort to avoid unnecessary damage. It is important to remove plants, wind chimes, pictures, pottery, yard decorations, etc. to avoid any damage.

Attic : When removing the existing roof, debris can shift between the roof decking and fall into the attic. We suggest covering or removing any items that may require protection.
Nails: We will perform a thorough clean-up of the exterior premises. However, some nails may be missed if not visible or detected with the magnet. It is not uncommon for nails or debris to get lodged into the downspouts and wash out from the rain.

Wiring & Air Conditioning : Electrical, plumbing, telephone, security, gas, and AC lines should not be installed directly underneath the roof deck per code. We suggest looking in your attic before the project is started to be sure no lines are too close to the roof decking.

Vents : At the end of each work day and upon completion of your job, check the interior connections of your heater, dryer, and hot water heater vent pipes to make sure they are connected properly. Sometimes, a pipe may become disconnected during the roofing process.

Existing Structures : When replacing your roof, it may become apparent that you have dips in your decking or your rafters are not level. Usually this has nothing to do with the roof or installation. Rather, it is normally a function of your original framing and/or settling of your home. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your decking, discuss them with your representative before the job is started.

Sheetrock : If sheetrock on the ceiling and walls were not properly installed with screws, it is not uncommon to have a small round spot appear on the sheetrock surface due to the vibrations during the installation process.

Gutter Guards : Wire or plastic that has been installed over gutters can be very difficult to reinstall. Sometimes they are already damaged or rusted. The roofing crew will do their best to reinstall the gutter guards as they were.

Noise : As with any exterior home project, you can expect to have noise inside and outside of the house. If you have children or pets that are sensitive to loud sounds you may want to make arrangements for them to be away for the project. Also, we recommend you secure any breakable items that could shift inside your home, like pictures on the wall, due to vibrations caused by the rooftop work.

Final Inspection : Once the job is completed, we will perform a final inspection.
